The closest beaches from the resort just 10 minutes away are in Los Alcazares ,which has won the Q awards in 2005 for their high standards, the beach is beautiful, safe and not too populated, it also has a great promenade which stretches for miles and is great for a nice stroll in the cool of the evening .Los Alcazares has many local amenities including restaurants, supermarkets and shops, also in the area a great number of interesting days out .The resort is close to two cities, Murcia the capital of the region A visit to Murcia is well worth a day out, to the Cathedral de Santa Maria, followed by coffee in the many café bars and restaurants in the leafy squares. Large shops and stores accommodate all tastes with great bargains. Also a visit to Cartagena , with the recent development has transformed the port with a wide promenade so visitors can enjoy coffee watching the private yachts ,also boat trips are available with its truly beautiful architecture, museums and galleries, parks and restaurants ,it is now competing with Murcia to attract tourists and shoppers. ,and also Caravaca de la Cruiz is recommended.
Roldan is behind La Torre resort a relatively busy Spanish village with banks shops and restaurants. Also Torre Pacheco is about 15 minutes from La Torre with banks supermarkets shops and restaurants.
Los Alcozares, quite a big town on the Mar Menor lagoon busy in the summer time, with beaches and promenade stretching a few kilometres to the town of Los Naregos. Cabo de Palos a small fishing village with a harbour approx. 40 mins drive from resort.
